With only 2 weeks left to go for our Championship Trials Nights before the Championship starts, we have seen the field close up a bit, with the majority of the field now under the 8 minute mark, and 9 drivers even under the 7 minute mark. With so many close lap times we expect to see lots of competitive racing with drivers who know their cars well already and some who will develop throughout the season and may make some late charges up the driver championship standings.
The championship is now planned and we have released the information on our website this morning.
The cars that we will be using for the championship have been chosen from the cars that you have been setting your lap times in during your Trial Nights, and the others will also form the basis of some future championships and events. We have had an idea of the cars we wish to run and have expressed this interest to some of you and in our blogs, but from feedback and seeing some of the struggles with some of the cars at this early stage, we feel we now have the right choice in place. We have released our Championship now on the website.
The following table shows the current driver standings at the moment, by taking each driver's fastest time in each car and adding them together. The drivers in the top half of the table are on track for the higher license grade, and the lower half of the table are on track for the lower license. Regardless of which license you achieve we aim to make your racing with us as fun and competitive as it can be, and also allow you to learn and develop as a driver in order to progress. If you want to try and improve your overall time there are only a few spaces left on Monday 15th July, but that also means that the championship is drawing closer and closer! A few of you have expressed an interest in us using the average of all your lap times, so if the majority of you feel this would be the best way then we will of course be happy to take that route.
