We come to round 8 of the Formula One calendar. The British Grand Prix, the home Grand Prix for 4 of the drivers on the grid. Max Chilton is a good friend of the centre and we have seen him set times in our simulator already so you have two benchmarks to beat, his virtual time and his real lap time that will be taken at the end of FP1.
Silverstone offers everything you need for great racing, fast flowing corners mixed with some heavy braking into more technical points around the circuit. You need to be very confident of the car you have underneath you to commit to the Maggots and Becketts fast flow of corners as well as the heavy braking points into both Village and Brooklands to really challenge for the front row on the grid. Over the last couple of years we have seen some amazing overtaking manouveres from the likes of Webber and Alonso and we hope this year will be no different. Max has driven there before in both Formula 3 and GP2 as well as a Marussia young drivers test last year, we hope this experience and knowledge of the circuit allow him to challenge as far up the grid as possible. You can cheer him on and look out for our Lets Race logo on the engine cover of his car right here in the centre as we show the every session live on our 110" screen.
All through Friday from 14.00 - 22.00 we will be running our highly anticipated 'Chase Chilton' again, all sessions over the weekend will be run on the same circuit though so you can still see how you compare. 'Chase Chilton' sessions will be subject to availability on the Saturday and Sunday as well if you only want to focus on your lap times rather than the race itself. If you stay to watch the Qualifying and the Race on our 110" screen we will have food and drinks available so you don't have to go anywhere to risk missing any of the action.
To help you learn the circuit and prepare ahead of the weekend make sure you check out our onboard lap of the circuit.
